Seattle had a less than memoriable season during the 2008-09 NFL season, but to be fair to them, injuries played a big role in their lack of success. Their receiving corp received a much needed upgrade this off-season as T.J. Houshmandzadeh decided to sign with the Seahawks. With Matt Hasselback coming back from an injury and the Seahawks getting their #1 running back, back this season the offense could be back on track. They used their first round draft pick, which was 4th overall, to select Aaron Curry (linebacker) to try and improve their defense. There are many scouts and so-called experts that believe Curry was the best player in the entire draft and that’ll instantly make an impact on any NFL team that he’s on.

The Seahawks will need more than two important impact players to turn things around. The  offensive line needs to take it up a notch. The offense gave up 36 sacks last season, which ranked 20th in the NFL and getting your quarterback sacked so much is how injuries occur. The defensive secondary was terrible too, only netting 9 interceptions, which was 29th in the NFL and gave up an average of 259.3 Passing Yards Per Game, which ranked dead last in the NFL. It all starts by generating pressure up front, which they are hoping Aaron Curry can help do, but the secondary needs to really step their game up.
